Abstract: This specification covers one type of full wave, metallic, regulated rectifier designed to supply power to a telephone system and to charge lead-acid type storage batteries within its rated capacity, designated as "Rectifier Battery Charger PP-255()/FT", (See 3.1) Intended Use: Rectifier Battery Charger PP-255( )/FT is intended to supply suitable dc voltages and currents for fixed plant use charging telephone storage batteries having duty ratings of 23 cells and to supply power to a telephone system.
