Lighting Equipment —Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) General Requirements and Criteria

Abstract

This Standard defines the electromagnetic compatibility “EMC” (immunity and Interference) performance levels, testing methods, and performance criteria for lighting products in a frequency range from 0 to 400 GHz.

This Standard applies to lighting products intended to be directly connected to the mains (up to 600V), DC (up to 250VDC), battery-operated, or to a non-public, low voltage power distribution system.

In the United States, high-frequency emissions are regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 47 CFR Parts 15 and 18.
