Abstract: Purpose
This NASA Procedural Requirement (NPR) establishes packaging, handling, and transportation requirements adequate to maintain the reliability of NASA items and to achieve their damage-free delivery to the place and time of ultimate use. The purpose of this NPR is to promote a standard, streamlined approach for transportation shipment activities and to provide guidance for meeting packaging, handling, and transportation requirements pursuant to institutional, program, and project goals and missions throughout NASA.
Applicability
This policy is applicable to NASA Headquarters and NASA Centers, including Component Facilities, and to JPL and other NASA contractors to the extent specified in their contracts.
