CIE 206
THE EFFECT OF SPECTRAL POWER DISTRIBUTION ON LIGHTING FOR URBAN AND PEDESTRIAN AREAS
Organization:
CIE - International Commission on Illumination
Year: 2014
Abstract: This report focuses on street lighting for residential streets and pedestrian areas (i.e. cycling, walking and running paths) in which public lighting is designed predominantly to meet the needs of pedestrians. Therefore the recommendations made regarding the desired lamp spectrum are relevant only for these areas. This report does not address trunk routes and motorways where public lighting is designed predominantly to meet the needs of drivers. The report examines the interaction between spectral power distribution and illuminance, but does not examine the effects of spatial distribution or uniformity of lighting.
